Home from India!

Hello everyone!

I am so encouraged by my recent trip to India! This Sunday night I am looking forward to sharing more info about the trip with you at our Fusion service. To see God’s hand at work all over the world is so eye-opening. Also excited about our new two part teaching series we begin this Sunday night also, entitled, “The Sermon That Dropped It like It’s Hot!” (Acts 2:14-21) So step out and invite a friend, a co-worker, or a family member as we seek to reach our young adult community with the truth about Jesus Christ! Love you guys and can’t wait to see you this Sunday night!

New Teaching Series: The Book of Acts

Tonight we start a new teaching series through the Book of Acts. As Christian young adults in this generation it is God’s plan that we be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Jesus Christ in this world. The Book of Acts is an unfinished book in the sense that “the acts” of the Holy Spirit continue in the world today as followers of Jesus Christ are anointed with His Spirit to live and minister like Jesus. This is going to be a life changing series as we begin this book!

Tonight’s Christmas Party!

Hello everyone! Have no worries about tonight’s Fusion Christmas Party even though the weather may be bad. It’s all about how you look at it! Obviously, the bon-fire may not happen… so… what we are planning for is to have the party at the 2 story gray house right next to where the fire was going to be. So please still plan to come and make your way to the churches south parking lot like you were originally going to do. The fire place works in the house, so we will probably blaze that up! See you guys tonight at 6:00p.m. it’s going to be a great time!

Hey everyone! Glad you are checking us out! Please be in prayer over tonight’s service… for the salvation of those whom the Lord is speaking to already. Great night ahead of us with Shane and the Fusion worship band leading us in worship and with Dayna and Ethan giving us a recap of their recent missions trip to Haiti. Also, I will be announcing Manuela is leaving us at the end of the month following a new direction that God is leading her in. We will celebrate Communion at the end of the service with a closing worship song. Expecting great things to happen tonight as God works in our lives by the power of His Spirit. I love you guys and am looking forward to seeing you at Fusion tonight.

Weekend Event & Fusion on Sunday Night!!! INSANE AMOUNTS OF CRAZINESS!!!

Hello Everybody!

This Friday and Saturday is Fusions second New Testament Reading Event! Doors open on Friday at 6:00p.m. You must bring a food item for admission… contact my assistant Manuela for more info: manuelacourtois@calvarymelbourne.org. So far, the sign-ups have gone great… good job! The Fusion worship Band will be there as well to lead us in worship at different times throughout the Friday night and Saturday sessions. There will also be great food which will be provided by you…

Then, you won’t want to miss Sunday nights service. I’m going to give a mini teaching and then we will watch a video by John Piper from “Don’t Waste Your Life”… and then we will breakout into discussion groups to discuss the topic of “Making Much Of Christ From 8 to 5”. It’s going to be a great night of community and connecting with other young adults… hope to see you there!

Tonight!

Hey! It’s good to be back from a week-long vacation! I just got to the church office after spending some time at House of Joe coffee shop where our Fusion Bible study meets. They meet every Sunday at 4:00p.m. and are currently going through the book of Colossians. Tonight’s message titled “Cuff the King” will be a challenge to us as we look at how Jesus was arrested in John 18:1-11. It’s going to be a great night… hope to see you there!

Sorry that I haven't been blogging recently… the IT dept. here at the church updated some stuff on my computer so I was a little out of the loop for a while… It’s good to be back into the blogging routine. I’ll be in touch with you guys more regularly again….

This Sunday night at Fusion we will be looking at John Ch. 17. I’m really excited about it! Also, Ron from Florida Tech Intervarsity will be at the service to give us a little more info about our big outreach coming up on the 20th.

Fusion/Intervarsity Florida Tech Campus Outreach

Where: Florida Institute of Technology (Rez Hall Quad) aka “The Dorms”

When: Thursday, August 20th 2009 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. (Set-up will begin roughly at 3:00p.m.)

Description: Fusion and Intervarsity have partnered together to share with other young adults/college students about the love of God that is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We will be cooking tons of hotdogs and hamburgers and giving them away to students for free! Shane and the band will be there doing live music and we will have a huge blow up screen as well to show some outreach videos we have planned! So come and serve and be apart of sharing the gospel in this community!

Prayer Meeting for event: Everyone and anyone is invited to join us for our prayer meeting that we will be having before the outreach event: We will meet for corporate prayer at F.I.T. at the Rez Hall Quad area by the dorms. We will meet on Friday, August 7th at 5:00p.m. Even if you can’t come to the outreach event itself, please come out and pray with us for the event!

Hey guys… just dropping a line…

Hey guys… last nights Q & A service at CCM was great! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Well, I just wanted to drop a line about some general stuff over the next few days…

This Friday night the Haiti missions team is getting together for a last hurrah type party… should be fun!

On Saturday night I’ll be back on my old stomping grounds up in Viera with CCMV covering the service for Pastor Dean while he officiates a wedding… really looking forward to spending time with the people up there… always neat to check in and see all the things God is doing all around our church!

Then on Sunday I’m headed to Calvary Chapel Leesburg to teach at their Sunday morning service… As of now, unless the Holy Spirit directs otherwise, I’m planning to teach the “Not Ashamed” message from Romans 1:16 that I gave a few weeks ago at CCM. Please pray for me and this opportunity…

Then I’ll wrap up the weekend with a blast of sheer awesomeness… Fusion on Sunday night. The title of the message is “Abide in Christ, Love Each Another, and be Hated by The World” (John 15:1-8) It is part one of a three part series we are going to do on John Ch 15.

Something I have been meaning to pass on… Donnie and Rachel will be leading the “Marinating in the Word” Bible Study at 4:00 p.m. every Sunday afternoon upstairs in the Youth Center. Donnie will be leading a study through the book of Ephesians beginning this Sunday afternoon. Then, our corporate prayer time is at 5:00 p.m. in the same place as the Bible Study.

Alright, I love you guys, and I pray that each of us would follow, obey, and love Jesus Christ today. Be radical today… tell someone about the Lord today… invite someone to one of our weekend services or to Fusion so they can hear the gospel… God for it!

Fusion Tonight!

Hey guys,

I am so excited about Fusion tonight! Shane and the band will be leading us in worship and the title of tonight's teaching is “Me and Jesus” John 14:18-31. Just want to encourage you guys to not get stuck in a religious routine! But always be looking forward to the fresh things God wants to do in your life.

Also, tonight we will talk about some new events/outreaches coming up the next few months… I am really excited about them and I know you will be too.

Yo!!! Tonight at Fusion!

Hello Everybody!

We are still at the hospital since my wife has given birth to our second baby girl, Makenzy Ryanne DiFrenna yesterday at 1:31 a.m. We should be leaving the hospital sometime tomorrow. Sharalyn (my wife) and Makenzy are doing great! We know that many of you were praying for us… and we say “thanks”.

Jonathan Schroer, one of our worship leaders at CCM, a close friend of mine and brother in the ministry, will be teaching tonight at Fusion. Be prepared to receive from God and His Word. God has so much for us to enjoy in our walk with His Son Jesus Christ.

Not Ashamed of the Gospel!/Tonight at Fusion…

Hey guys… how are doing today? Happy Fathers Day to those whom it applies…! Just wanted to encourage you to keep praying and remain ready to be used by the Lord. There have been many testimonies over the last week about how God has worked in different peoples lives for His glory. Praise God for the things He is doing in our hearts!

Tonight at Fusion we are going to do something a little different. We are going to divide up into groups and get in God’s Word together… it’s going to be a great time with God and with each other! See you tonight!

A verse from 2 Corinthians to meditate on…

2 Corinthians 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Tonight is going to be sick! The Fusion Haiti Missions Team will be talking about what God did on the trip and each team member will be speaking on some of the same topics we talked about at our young adults retreat in Haiti. Seriously, you don’t want to miss tonight! Are you ashamed of the gospel? Why? We are going to talk about that tonight and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in boldness and love as we live out our faith in Christ here at home.
